Stephane Derone, who teaches French at the Howard school, Rainham, Kent (see lead story in You amp; your job section) , set up www.bonjour.co.uk for his department. Original resources on the site includean online word search game made up of French metereological terms.

Stephane has used Java applets which enable the student to ring a word by dragging the mouse across it. “The applet use can be found at www.ericharshbarger.comjava (one of many websites which offer free applets and give instructions on how to use them).” Stephane also advises:

“Spend time on organising your index page, so that students will not be put off by their first impression. Give your site a consistent house style: I use the Comic Sans MS font throughout.”
