While the achievements of the Write Team are to be applauded (“The write stuff”, TESpro 6 April), surely it is an indictment of current educational practice if pupils found extended writing activities to be beyond their normal school experience. And as for teachers “being reluctant to write”, this suggests that the plot has been well and truly lost.
