Just what did your class learn from the lessons on the ancient Eygyptians you ran earlier in the term? To find out, sit them down for a game of Egyptians (pound;15), one of the new games from the Green Board Game Company.
With a camel to take them around the board, two to four players have to answer questions to collect the cards that will help them reach their ultimate goal - becoming a Supreme Pharaoh.
The questions are graded for difficulty, with the easier blue questions requiring yes or no answers. The most difficult green questions are for people planning to enter Mastermind with Ancient Egypt as their specialist subject. If the questions are too tricky, it is possible to play the game without the cards and just rely on the throw of the dice.
The company specialises in educational games. Other new titles out in time for Christmas include the BBC-based Walking with Dinosaurs card trivia game (pound;5) and the Walking with Beasts safari board game (pound;15). Games are available from Unit 11 2a, Cressex Business Park, Coronation Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP13 6QY.
