Queen of crime comes to the classroom

Tales of puzzling murders investigated by Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple are now accessible to pupils learning English as a foreign language or lower-ability junior learners, thanks to Collins’ new Agatha Christie English reading books.

What is it?

A series of 20 books, including Christie’s debut novel The Mysterious Affair at Styles. The readers include:

- an abridged version of the story with key vocabulary underlined;

- a character list;

- cultural notes;

- a glossary of the key words;

- an audio version of the story on CD;

- further language activities and teacher support online.
