FROM PENTELICON TO THE PARTHENON Free exhibition to mark the opening of The Foundation for Hellenic Culture, 60 Brook Street, London W1. It includes drawings by Greek architect Manolis Korres telling the story of an 11-ton Doric column capital’s transfer from the quarries of Mount Pentelicon to the Acropolis, and the methods devised by the ancient Greeks to transport great blocks of marble to build their temples.
