Two popular films inspire thoughtful fun and games for the classroom. An interactive CD-Rom allows key stage 2 children to get behind The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and see how the film’s stars - Wallace and Gromit - derive their acting skills from stop-motion animation. There’s also the chance to create storyboards and scenes with sound effects, and to learn more about the characters than the word “Wensleydale”. A poster for Nanny McPhee invites children to concoct their own nasty tricks for dealing with unwelcome adults and to devise rules of behaviour. The resources for The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Nanny McPhee are available from Film Education, 21-22 Poland Street, London W1F 8QQ.
