At GCSE and A-level, the impact of multinational companies on patterns of food consumption could be investigated. You will need to direct students to a small number of multinationals and guide them with a set of questions.
Where is the multinational’s headquarters? Which countries have the greatest concentration of outlets? How are we encouraged to eat fast food? What are the advantages and disadvantages for people, the environment and the economy of this company’s operations?
