Even sensible education providers seem to have gone potty for Harry. Subscribers to Espresso, an education broadband contents service, have had a J K Rowling special report for the past year.

New material includes a Harry Potter news service with regular reports and video footage related to the latest Harry Potter “happenings”. Recent video clips include a tour of Gloucester cathedral, which was used as a backdrop for Hogwarts in the film of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, footage of the search for the three child leads, and clips from the movie.

There’s also masses of written material about the Potter phenomenon, and a film review from 10-year-old Conor Campbell, a pupil at St Mary’s primary in Edinburgh. Pupils will be encouraged to submit their own reviews and Espresso has created a set of classroom activities.

To find out more about Espresso’s primary satellite service go to the website at www.espresso.co.uk or tel: 020 8237 1200.
