KS4: Students of the Medicine Through Time unit of the Schools History Project GCSE course are most likely to enjoy this article. They could take the key points and build their own website or presentation looking at the history of our understanding of blood over time. There is an excellent model for this at www.pbs.orgwnetredgoldhistory. They could take their researches up to recent times by looking at developments in the 20th century through photographic archives, eg Getty (http:gettyimages.com) or moving image archives, eg British Pathe (www.britishpathe.com).
