Managers at Kingsway College were seeking a High Court injunction as The TES went to press to bar five students from coming within a half-mile radius of the college in north London.
They include three students already suspended after being questioned by police about an attack in which Tory party chairman, Dr Brian Mawhinney was covered in paint.
The bid follows a student occupation of a room on the first day of term in which the management alleges property was damaged.
