“Schools have the competences to manage their own professional development internally,” says Peter Brereton of the company e, enabling educational excellence.
Its new interactive DVD Managing Challenging Behaviour lets managers control the pace of staff development and minimise the need for external consultants. The six module programme presents staff with problems to solve and moves the discussion on according to their response.
The DVD contains a personal development planner with underpinning materils, which can be printed off for each teacher to record their work and build up an action plan, leading to a certificate validated by Liverpool University. The DVD costs pound;250 to primary and pound;335 to secondary schools.
e, enabling educational excellence is a joint venture company formed between Nord Anglia Education Plc and The Visual Link, a multi-media communications company. For details visit www.enablingeducationalexcellence.co.uk or call Mr Brereton at Nord Anglia Education on 0161 491 4191.
