Schools using email, the Web and video conferencing to link with schools in other countries have until October 31 to nominate for the 1999 Childnet International Awards. Projects must be innovative, international and focused on children under 18. They can be at an early stage of development, especially where financial resources are a constraint.

Prizes in the school section are Pounds 2,500, Pounds 1,500 and Pounds 1,000. The top three projects in each of the four categories also win a trip for two people to attend the awards ceremony in Sydney in February. Call 0171 639 6967 or see www.childnet-int.orgawards
