Fancy zooming up to a heart and then down through a valve to the centre of the muscle? Well here you can. The Virtual Anatomy project is based upon research at the University of Colorado. The aim is to provide high resolution, photo-realistic, three dimensionalcomputer models of the human thorax. According to the site, the whole process begins with “a cadaver, imbedded in gelatin and frozen to - 70oC, which has been sliced and photographed millimetre by millimetre”.
