As the House of Lords grilled education minister Baroness Blackstone abot swimming tuition in primary schools, the redoubtable Baroness Sharples, more practised in debates on equine dentistry and allotments, asked: “My Lords, does key stage 2 mean 75 yards or 25 yards?”
