I’m thinking of changing my job. I’ve been in my current post since I was an NQT. Are there guidelines to follow when writing an application?
This is a tough question as you don’t give away much information. I don’t know how long you have been teaching, what type of school you are in or what sort of post you are looking for. Draw up a balance sheet of what you want from your new job and what you can offer. Continuity is something you can offer; you won’t be off next year to another post. Some schools like that, others like turnover.
