The beautiful island of Lundy, midway between Devon and Wales, is England’s only Marine Nature Reserve. Home to a superb variety of birds, fish, corals, crabs, seals and shore creatures, it’s a wonderful place for schools lucky enough to make the journey. Lundy education packs have been produced for both primary and secondary pupils. There is also fascinating information on the island’s earlier history, with accounts of shipwrecks, lighthouses and Victorian schooling. A ten-minute video provides an enjoyable virtual visit. A limited number of Lundy primary education packs and copies of the video are available free from Devon Team, English Nature, Level 2 Renslade House, Bonhay Road, Exeter EX4 3AW. Tel: 01392 889770; Email: laura.heape@english-nature.org.uk. The primary and secondary packs will also be available in pdf versions on the website. www.english-nature.org.uk.
