A lecturer at Richmond upon Thames College is following in the footsteps of comedian Eddie Izzard’s marathon challenge by running 30 26- mile courses in 35 days.

Jason Arday, a 25-year-old sports lecturer, aims to run each marathon in London in less than six hours to raise money for the homeless charity Shelter. It forms part of a long-term aim to raise pound;250,000 for charity before he reaches the age of 50.
