The new Cardiff-based editor of TES Cymru is Karen Thornton (pictured right).
Karen joined The TES as a reporter six years ago and has recently been editing its school leadership section. A graduate of Leeds university, she did her postgraduate journalism training at Cardiff university and later worked as a schools reporter in South Wales.
Karen said: “I’ve always felt The TES should have a Wales edition, and I’ve been really heartened by the welcome TES Cymru has received. Wales has developed some distinctive policies on education, and I’m looking forward to visiting schools and talking to teachers, governors and parents.”
