Understanding finance is everybody’s right. Although Money Talk is mainly designed for those working with adults with basic skills, the CD-Rom will also be very useful for some secondary and ESOL classes.

It’s based on a town centre. Visiting the bank, you find out about opening an account and reading statements. At the electrical superstore, you need to use cheques and cards, and learn to read the small print. In the market, it pays to watch your change and look out for best buys. There are plenty of exercises to help you find out what you’ve understood. Money Talk (Code A1762) costs Pounds 10 + VAT from The Basic Skills Agency, Admail 524, London WC1A 1BR.
