East Ayrshire’s long tussle over the future of the tiny St Conval’s High in Cumnock has found a partial answer. The school is being downgraded to an S1-S4 secondary with fifth and sixth year pupils travelling to St Joseph’s Academy, Kilmarnock. St Conval’s new outreach status has been approved by the Scottish Office and the school is to be renamed St Joseph’s Academy (Cumnock Campus).
