More than pound;4 million has been set aside to entice former teachers back, said minister Stephen Timms, responding to Lib Dem education spokeman Phil Willis. Returners can get up to pound;4,000, but so far only 37 have claimed. The Government insists the bulk of the claims is yet to come.
