I am a trainee teacher doing my teaching practice and am struggling to keep my classes’ attention. Any advice on classroom management?
For starters, don’t try and speak until the class is completely silent. Raising your voice saps energy. Vary your strategies on how to get their attention. Then ask as much as you can of your students and get them involved in their own learning. Lots of questions and answers keep heads up.
