On Oxbridge: privilege or prejudice?

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/oxbridge-privilege-or-prejudice-0

The reality that Oxbridge is very small, rarefied and does not reflect normal university life (“Obsessed with Oxbridge”, 29 June) was very well laid out in last week’s TES. Social mobility is not about getting poor students into Oxbridge, it is about giving all children the tools to make the best of themselves. There are many excellent universities and what our schools do is to prepare rounded individuals who will find the right course to continue their education and become productive members of society.

David Hanson, Chief executive, Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS).
