A point of debate

THE HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION is looking for A-level students to test their debating skills in a national competition.

The question to be argued is: ‘What has been the most significant scientific discovery in the past 100 years?’ Each competitor will be given five minutes to put their case and then face questions from judges.

One representative is needed from as many schools as possible for regional heats before a national final to be held next March.
