Bringing the World of Work to New A-levels is a CD-Rom that does just what the title says. It brings together the results of much thoughtful collaboration between teachers and employers, providing practical introductions to all 10 new A-levels. There are overviews of the subjects, lesson plans and advice on teaching and learning. The most intriguing sections are real-life scenarios - developing a local authority waste management strategy in applied science; investigating the market appeal of a zoo in leisure studies; and learning how a primary care trust works in health and social care.
