A FOURTEEN-year-old schoolboy has been charged with manslaughter after a fellow pupil died during a playground fight. Darren Carruthers, 16, died in hospital of serious head injuries three days after banging his head on the ground during the scuffle at Heworth Grange comprehensive school in Gateshead.
