Cats in the Classroom is a set of three resource packs from the charity Cats Protection. For key stages 1 and 2, the felines take their place in poems - “Back stretcherStreet prowler” - and stories for children to read before writing their own. They also appear as data for mathematical analysis. For KS3, they recall their role in history, whether as Egyptian mummies or naval rat-catchers. Famous screen stars from Garfield and Bagpuss to Sylvester and the Lion King don’t pussyfoot around, but curl up gracefully in a cosy corner of the curriculum.
