Define and discuss the terms “hypothesis”, “theory” and “dogma”, as they apply to religion, science and medicine. Do people confuse hypothesis and theory? When and how does theory become dogma?

Discuss what it might mean that nowhere in the Bible does it say that it must be taken literally. How far is it clear that there are two accounts of creation in Genesis (1.1 to 2.3 and 2.4 to 2.25), which differ, except in their agreement that God is creator?

Use footage of Richard Dawkins, in the BBC Wales “Secular Believers” series (2006), as a way into discussing his position.
