CHILDREN have more money than ever in their bank accounts according to research by the Royal Bank of Scotland. In the past year the average amount held increased from pound;82 to pound;92 for 11- to 15-year-olds and from pound;151-pound;181 or 16 to 17- year-olds. However, Children in Scotland warned that the figures mask underlying levels of child poverty and that children without bank accounts are missing out on the experience of managing money.
