Book Buddies at Northfield Academy in Aberdeen have launched a website on the theme “I’m a book, get me out of here!”

By working with the technology company Converged Communications Solutions, the pupils can now review their books online while keeping abreast of technology.

As befits an all-girl club, the author Jacqueline Wilson has clocked up the highest number of reviews so far.

Members of the Northfield Academy Book Buddies Go Surfing Web Club have been working on the site since April with tutors from WhiteSpace, home of Aberdeen City Council’s arts development team, to create the pages.

Funding for the project was provided through the Aberdeen City Council youth activities small grants scheme, Friends of Northfield Academy, and Converged Communications Solutions.

* www.bookbuddies.org.uk, was launched on World Book Day, March 1
