Posters of party glasses filled with blood provide a chilling visual introduction to the campaign against drink-driving at the heart of Road Safety Week (November 8-14). They are a feature of a pair of thoughtful and comprehensive teaching guides - one for nurseries and primaries, the other for secondary schools. Teachers of younger children are encouraged to find out who is most likely to suffer a fatal accident and to devise an ABC of rules and choices for safety. Older students are invited to look at the science and sociology of death on the roads. Visit the website for teaching ideas and the Road Safety Week action pack www.roadsafetyweek.org.uk
