BABIES could be drinking “almost human” milk from cows that have been genetically modified. Researchers at PPL Theraputics Ltd, an American subsidiary of the Edinburgh-based company, hav given human genes to three cows so they produce a protein normally found only in breast milk. But groups such as Baby Milk Action and the National Childbirth Trust are wary.
