The Children’s University of Manchester website contains activities and resources for keystage 2 science lessons. Each topic, such as micro- organisms, has activities useful for an interactive whiteboard, as well as wordsearches and games. Each topic is introduced by scientists and has plenty of Discover More activities and links. The university also has a wonderful museum that offers a wide variety of activity days, ranging from early years through to post-16. Among the available KS34 practical workshops are forensic science: a bog body mystery and nature’s palette.

The Manchester Faculty of Life Sciences offers many school events, including a science festival, faculty open day, KS3 science stars days and KS5 discover days.
