Architectural Dublin - http:www.archeire.com archdublinindex.html

No one, it seems, has yet tried to put Pevsner’s massive “Buildings of England” series on the Internet - but here’s an Irish site that could be a model for anyone crazy or dedicated enough to undertake such a project.

Architectural Dublin is part of “archeire” - an online project to promote Irish architecture. It is the work of an industrial designer who is also an architectural historian.

The site is functional, attractive, scholarly and accessible. It approaches the city’s architecture through individual buildings arranged by period as well as by a wider consideration of the forces that have shaped the city. There are biographies, features on endangered buildings, even a guide to derivations of Dublin street names.
