Offline thought Professor Stephen Heppell, director of Anglia Polytechnic University’s Ultralab and education technology guru, was busy enough already. He is a member of: the Department for Education and Employment’s Standards Task Force, chairing the working group on information and communication technology; the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s Creative Industries Task Fore and its Internet policy committee; the Department for Trade and Industry’s Foresight 2020 education taskforce; the board of the Scottish Council for Educational Technology; and chairs the Royal Television Society’s multimedia jury. He now joins the BAFTA committee steering the annual interactive entertainment awards. When will he find time for his other love - sailing?
