Pupils and staff from Glasgow’s Bannerman High took part in a charity dance event to raise funds for the Livestrong Cancer Trust. Six staff pairs and a sixth-year pupil pair competed. The school band also provided entertainment at the event. The winners were maths teacher Pauline Coyle and PE partner Stephen Douglas.

The newest members of the Scottish Youth Parliament for Edinburgh were unveiled at the City Chambers last month. The 12 MSYPs, aged 14-25, include 10 pupils from secondary schools and will take up their roles in June. They were voted in on promises ranging from no student fees to lowering the voting age to 16.
