Technology
Learning and Teaching Scotland is asking teachers to complete an anonymous survey - part of the Scottish Government’s technologies for learning strategy - to find out more about how teachers are using technologies and their views.
Questions cover software; hardware (such as computers); use of the internet (social media tools); interactive whiteboards; and computer games.

Mobile gallery
Art
Schoolchildren in the Borders will soon have another chance to enjoy the Travelling Gallery, the mobile art gallery. It will `visit Burnfoot, Howdenburn, Duns and Denholm primaries during the week beginning Monday 28 March. Its spring exhibition, Drawn In, is a group show, exploring the use of drawing with sculpture, animation and installation. Email communications@scotborders.gov.uk
Top T-shirts
Eco education
Pupils from four Edinburgh schools have won a Fair Trade T-shirt design contest, organised by Edinburgh City Council. The pupils picked up their prizes at a Fairtrade Fortnight event, held at Stenhouse Primary on 9 March. One of the winning entries, by P7 Dalry Primary pupil Lucy Godfrey, depicted two yellow bananas drawn in the shape of a heart with the words “Love Fairtrade” underneath.
Sprint to success

Almost 1,000 P6-7 pupils from Glasgow took part in the Glasgow Primary Schools Cross-Country Championships at Nether Pollok playing fields on 11 March. The events are part of a range of festivals and events to improve the fitness levels of young people.
Mining debate
Science
Primary pupils in Midlothian will take part in a series of role-play debates at the Scottish Mining Museum at the end of March. They will make the case for and against the fictitious re-opening of the Lady Victoria Colliery in Newtongrange.
