How long have you subscribed?

Since 1976.

Why did you start?

Believe it or not, it was cool to have the TESS stuck under your arm as a newly-qualified teacher. Went well with the collar-length hair and bell- bottom trousers.

What should there be more of in TESS?

Articles placing pedagogy at the forefront of Scottish education. We shy away from the “P” word.

Who would you like to see writing in TESS?

It would be really innovative to have a section with learners of all ages writing about their learning journey.

What is the best thing we’ve done?

The magazine-style format.

What would you be excited to see on the front page?

The unsung heroes who support challenging young people in looked-after and secure settings.

What is TESS?

A magazine for leaders of learning.
