For The TES’s annual Newsday competition, students are invited to produce a newspaper or news website on any day in the period March 8-12. On the day they work to real deadlines and for a real audience, developing their writing and IT skills. Registering schools receive a CD of information about preparing for the day, newspaper layout, design and production, setting up a news room, sources of news, check lists, judging and categories.www.newsday.co.uk
