Time to run PE

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/time-run-pe
I have recently become head of PE on three management points as part of a creative arts faculty, led by a faculty manager. Over a two-week period (50 one-hour lessons) I have five planning, preparation and assessment periods and three free periods (unprotected from cover). Is this adequate time for the position I hold?

If your school is operating a 10-day timetable then the five lessons equals 10 per cent over the 10 days. Even though the wording refers to a week, in this case it means a timetable cycle of 10 days. As for the three other lessons, what do others in a similar position receive? Admin work should not now be done by teachers. If other HoDs have more non-contact time, ask why you receive less. If there is no sensible answer, ask why you do not get the same as others on your grade.
