Timing the tides

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/timing-tides
Hikers and beachcombers, canoeists and windsurfers, bird-watchers and wildlife photographers all need to know about high and low tides, if only to avoid stomping over mudflats where they hoped to find water. Quick Tide is three sturdy cardboard charts covering the entire British coastline. A code number is given for a specific date (the charts cover 2004 and 2005) and then a simple colour code finds the tide times in a specific area. The information is accurate to within about half an hour. The charts can also be used in class as a teaching aid. Quick Tide charts cost pound;7.99 and are available from QT International Ltd, 19 Canynge Road, Bristol BS8 3JZ.
