Technically, the Focus on Rainforests pack from the WWF shouldn’t feature in this column as it costs pound;10.99, but it’s an excellent resource, so why quibble over 99p? It features 12 colour photos showing the forest and some of its indigenous people and animals, together with activities such as poaching, logging and replanting. A teachers’ guide suggests questions to ask about the pictures, and outlines activities, such as arguing for and against land clearance for agriculture. A poster features anacondas, iguanas, orchids and much more. Focus on Rainforests is available from WWF, Education Distribution, PO Box 963, Slough SL2 3RS.Tel: 01753 645440www.wwflearning.co.uk
