Ever needed to doodle by hand on a digital document but the need didn’t justify expenditure on a fully fledged graphics tablet? Market leader Wacom has come up with the answer, the PenPartner (pound;29). Just load the software and it’s ready to use on your PC. There’s no software for Apple but Mac 0SX doesn’t seen to mind - mine allowed the PenPartner to work with Photoshop without any preparation (check yours before buying though!). The small writing area doesn’t allow you to tackle anything particularly ambitious when it comes to drawing, but for its niche it’s up to the job.
