Edinburgh Council officials who disciplined a whistleblower after he accused the council-backed Edinburgh’s Lifelong Learning Partnership of mismanaging pound;400,000 of public money, will not be disciplined. John Travers, a community education worker, won pound;5,000 compensation last year after an employment tribunal ruled the council had failed in its duty to protect him. But the council has concluded that there was “insufficient evidence of misconduct” on the part of any employees.
