ICT help and advice is now available at the new Becta site at www.ictadvice.org.uk. The site features a number of sections aimed at the differing needs of classroom teachers, ict co-ordinators, managers and special needs co-ordinators. Each month, the site will look at different issues and teachers will be able to send issue-related questions to a panel of experts who will try to answer them within two working days. The current theme for Ask an Expert is creativity with ICT.

The site also features ICT news, fact files and background information on technology and is currently running a competition (closing date March 31) with 15 personal digital assistants as prizes.

Eduseek, described by its creators as the “Google for the education sector”, launches next month. The portal has 20,000 links to hand-selected sites featuring free online academic material.
