Seamus Murphy, CEO of Turner Schools in Folkestone. He is an experienced leader specialising in school improvement within challenging circumstances.
He began his career in London, eventually serving as a London Challenge partner before securing his first headship in Kent. Notably, he transformed a school from “Special Measures” to “Good” in just 13 months, leading to his recruitment as one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors for Ofsted.
As an Executive Headteacher for Swale Academies Trust, Seamus successfully oversaw five secondary schools. He joined Turner Schools in 2019, becoming CEO in 2020. His expertise spans across leadership development and SEND provision, with a particular passion for supporting disadvantaged pupils.
