GCSE results at the academies run by Barnfield College in Luton continue to rise, with the percentage of students achieving five good grades more than tripling over two years at one of the schools. The Barnfield West Academy saw the percentage with 5 A*-C grades rise to 55 per cent from just 16 per cent in 2007. The South Academy had 40 per cent make the grades, compared to 17 per cent two years ago.
