DEATH is still a taboo and bereavement is especially difficult for young people to come to terms with. So a booklet from the Scottish Council for Research in Education containing resources and information for teachers and others supporting bereaved 12 to 18-year-olds should prove helpful. The project, commissioned by The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, was undertaken by SCRE along with the National Association of Bereavement Services (NABS) and the association’s child and bereavement working group.

Further information and copies of the booklet, which contains information and photocopiable support materials, are available at www.scre.ac.ukbereavement.
