GridClub, the online service that aims to make learning fun both at home and school for 7 to 11-year-olds, is now available. Announced at the BETT exhibition in January by then learning and technology minister Michael Wills, it is funded by the Department for Education and Skills and developed by Channel 4 in association with Oracle and Intuitive Media. It has four elements: The Club, a safe, online community mediated by education professionals; the Virtual Library, with text, images, sound, video and animations that is open to all Net users; the GridClub shop; and a TV series called What If? This is broadcast on Channel 4 on Thursdays at 9.50am.
