I wonder if you can help. I’m trying to trace two teachers from St John Rigby RC School in West Wickham, Kent. I left in 1989 (the school has since closed) and in the years leading up to my GCSEs I had a terrible time. But a couple of teachers went out of their way to help me obtain results far higher than anyone had predicted.
Now I am dealing with my son’s learning difficulties and I realise the debt I owe these two ladies who helped me - in their own time - to meet my potential. Their names were: Miss Brewer (English) and Mrs Plummer (businessoffice studies).
I went on to read engineering at Reading University. In 1997 I decided to re-train. I’m now a jumbo jet pilot with Virgin Atlantic, and I’d simply like to find them to say thank you. I know my path could have been very different without them.
